Level III Certified Century Pilates Instructor
CPIT Century Pilates Instructor Training, Vbarre
Shannon became acquainted with Pilates in early 2018 at local Pilates studio that offered a diverse range of Pilates styles. It was during this time that she began exclusively gravitating to classes held by a talented and passionate instructor, Emily Wills, trained in the classical Pilates method. Shannon became enamored and fervent about Pilates, practicing upwards of 7x a week- craving the challenge and xperiencing remarkable results in her body from her consistent practice. Though at the time engaged in other forms of exercise, Pilates stood out, offering her the complete workout she had been looking for- the blue plate special!
A year into Shannon’s Pilates practice, she transitioned from group classes to private training, where she began to understand, on a much deeper level, the true benefits of Pilates when the exercises are learned correctly, modified as needed, and the workouts are tailored for a person’s unique needs. Engaged in privates solely with Emily, eventually brought her to Century Pilates, where in the fall of 2021, Shannon was given a wonderful opportunity to learn from her amazing talented mentor and jumped at the
invitation to enroll in Century Pilates Instructor Training.
Shannon successfully completed Vbarre in March of 2022 and successfully completed her Century Pilates Instructor Training apprenticeship May of 2022. She is passionate about Classical Pilates and loves to share its benefits and encourage those who have never tried it to take a leap and experience the difference.
Born and raised in the DFW area, Shannon is a wife and the mother to a beautiful daughter- and two spoiled fur babies Freckles and Birdie. Outside of her passion for Pilates, she holds a demanding, professional career as a Comptroller and has a love for the outdoors and baking. Shannon aspires to continue Pilates as a life-long practice and in the years to come, hone her skills as an instructor, making long-term plans to be a full-time instructor as a retirement career. Shannon’s hidden talent is planning epic vacations and has a home studio to nurture her practice and share this incredible method with her family.
