Century Pilates is the premier studio in Arlington, Texas dedicated to the art and science of traditional and classical pilates. Whether you are interested in getting in shape, losing weight or you’re simply just looking to feel better, Century Pilates offers an array of classes to meet your needs. Unlike high volume fitness studios, we keep our class sizes small with a maximum of 6-7 attendees so you can expect a lot of one-on-one attention. Our group classes start at $40.


Group Class Level’s

Genesis

Our Genesis level group classes are safe for beginner students or those who have never tried Pilates. We do encourage you take your 1st time private one-on-one session for only $55 before you sign up for group class, but it is not mandatory. At this level, you will be challenged and see rapid core development while building a strong foundation to grow from.

Refinement

Our Refinement level group classes are suitable for those who feel they are at a strong level of fitness and have a reasonable understanding of Pilates concepts and techniques as well as having some proficiency with the many varied appartus and their set-up. This level is intermediate and we encourage beginners to have at least attended 10 Genesis level classes before attempting a Refinement level class.

Mastery

Our signature Mastery class is for masters of the classical Pilates method and is considered to be very advanced. This class requires instructor approval before you can sign up. We ask that you respect this policy and not assume that you are ready for this level. Pilates is a constant practice and to attain this degree of mastery is earned through dedication to the work. If you’re interested in rapidly progressing your strength and flexibility, ask us about private training to help expedite your goals.

The Pilates Reformer is the ultimate corrective conditioning tool & the most well known Pilates apparatus. It not only provides superior feedback for proper alignment, but also supports your bodies weight. The Reformer provides resistance through springs on a pulley system whose main goal is to train the body to elongate and decompress. The reformer truly REFORMS the body and strengthens and stretches it in all planes of movement to ensure uniformed body conditioning inside the studio, so that you maintain your hard earned results outside the studio. The reformer is one of many apparatus Century Pilates is proud to offer in our signature Century Reform® group classes. One ride on our reformers and you will notice the difference in the quality of the equipment and how it elevates your experience of resistance training. Our thoughtfully curated state of the art Contrology Reformers have no plastic parts and built to endure the strenuous flow of a classical Reformer workout. We preserve the original method of Pilates on the original equipment.

Our instructor led, signature Century Strength® class is undeniably the most straight forward way to directly strengthen & tone your body from head toe. Towers are essentially half of a Pilates Cadillac which are primarily used in Private training only. Our studio is thrilled to provide the power of the Tower to our signature group classes. Towers promote stability & support as you seamless flow through exercises. Working directly with arm & leg springs teaches you the art of resistance training and two way stretch. Used in unison with the Wunda Chair, it creates a challenge like no other and ensures you find your balance, control, & strength rapidly. It not only tests your endurance, but also finds any neglected or dormant muscles that may be off your power grid and sparks them back up! The Wunda chair is lovingly called the bun and thigh burner, but it’s also single handily the most effective tool in building upper body strength. By utilizing our custom side handles (which are detachable as needed) allow us to share exercises with our students that are primarily reserved for Private training on the High Chair. It’s wicked effective & wicked fun.

Century Blend classes mixed apparatus classes and are inspired by the flow, focus & technique of tailored private training sessions so you will enjoy a variety of equipment that will test your balance in this dynamic 50 minute sweat session. Our instructor led, signature Signature Century Blend classes utilize state-of-the-art equipment carefully curated from the best manufacturers in the field. You’ll utilize the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Arm Chair, Mat and Tower, TRX, Glide Boards, Jump Boards, as well as a variety of props. Joseph Pilates designed his method of ‘Contrology’ to use the apparatus as a system to uniformly condition the entire body. Pilates is more than just one piece of equipment. Come expand your practice & become a more well rounded practitioner in our mixed equipment classes.

Our Century Sculpt® group class is the perfect, low impact, cardio endurance workout your regular Pilates routine needs to take your results even further & burn fat while doing it. Clients report burning up to 450 calories or more in just one 50 minute session. The added bonus of the, Wunda Chair, Jump Board, TRC, & glide board with weights, either before or at the end of your workout teaches you the art of low impact plyometric jumping while elevating your cardiac endurance. You will learn to properly articulate and condition your feet and ankles to prevent injury & build up your cardiac output all while burning calories and protecting your joints. There’s barre methods & then there’s the Vbarre® method by Veronica Combs, world renowned pioneer in the barre industry, puts the V in Vbarre®. She created this superior barre method out of the need for a more robust system of ballet fusion exercises that would actually deliver quantifiable results. Vbarre® is unlike any other barre method you’ve tried & is designed to tone, trim, and transform the body with a fusion of ballet, classical Pilates, and resistance training, with yoga. By blending dynamic movement and cardio, Vbarre targets those trouble zones such as the hips, thighs, glutes, upper back, and core delivering one powerful workout. Vbarre® is a dance inspired workout that amps up the cardio by utilizing the glide board, small hand weights, resistance bands, stability balls, and more. Vbarre® is proud to be founded in Texas.

The client is fully in charge of the session, and results are generally instantaneous and profound. Pain relief, increased range of motion, improved circulation and nerve conduction are all end results of the century yoga class. Enjoy a carefully curated playlist of relaxing tunes to guide you through your transformative session with an essential oil treatment at the end of class to sooth your senses and calm your mind.

Our Century Suspension® group class combines traditional and contemporary mat Pilates and equipment based Pilates exercises and transitions them to the TRX straps. Each exercise is Pilates rooted and is also done in many of the traditional Pilates series. This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and highly encouraged for those looking to further results and build lean muscle quickly and uniformly. ‘Suspension Training’ methodology was made popular by Navy Seals and now adapted to the Pilates studio for increased strength and flexibility. Consider our Century Suspension® classes the perfect cross training and a compliment to spring resistance.
